In Decision No. 589/QD-TTg approving the Industrial Restructuring Plan for the period 2018 – 2020 with a vision to 2025, it is clearly stated: Encourage large enterprises to invest in developing the automobile industry, regardless of domestic enterprises and foreign-invested enterprises, to develop the Vietnamese automobile industry. The Government continues to consolidate better institutions and policies that are beneficial to production and the people and are not contrary to international practices and commitments.

Currently, there are still many difficulties affecting the domestic automobile industry. Therefore, in order for the Vietnamese automobile manufacturing industry to develop well, the development of the Vietnam Automobile Industry Development Strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2045, is extremely urgent and meaningful in both practice and science.
