“We will facilitate and prioritize opportunities to participate in the supply network for Vietnamese enterprises that are competitive and well-trained,” said Choi Joo Ho, General Director of Samsung Vietnam, at the opening ceremony of the 4th International Exhibition on Supporting Industry and Manufacturing of Vietnam – VIMEXPO 2023 on November 15
Referring to Samsung’s plans in the future, this business leader shared: “Based on Samsung Vietnam’s business philosophy of ‘co-prosperity’, in the coming time Samsung will also continue to strengthen cooperation with the Government and relevant agencies of Vietnam, continue activities to develop Vietnam’s supporting industries”.
In particular, Mr. Choi also emphasized opportunities for Vietnamese enterprises: “We will also create conditions and prioritize opportunities to participate in the supply network for Vietnamese enterprises that are competitive and well-trained.” We look forward to the attention and policy support of the Government of Vietnam for these businesses,” Choi said.
Samsung has so far brought many positive contributions to Vietnam’s supporting industry. Through efforts to find suppliers, the number of Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers who are Vietnamese enterprises in Samsung’s global supply chain increased 10 times, from 25 enterprises in 2014 to 257 enterprises by the end of 2022.
Samsung is currently the largest investor in Vietnam with total investment having increased nearly 30 times after 15 years, to about $20 billion by the end of 2022.
