PRESS RELEASE – Connect to develop Vietnam’s manufacturing and supporting industries

The 3rd Vietnam International Supporting Industry and Manufacturing Exhibition – VIMEXPO 2022, directed by Ministry of Industry and Trade, hosted by Industrial Development Center – Vietnam Industry Agency – Ministry of Industry and Trade, organized by C.I.S Vietnam Advertising & Exhibition JSC., is officially coming back from November 16th to 18th, 2022 at Hanoi International Exhibition Center I.C.E Hanoi. As the only international exhibition on manufacturing and supporting industries in Vietnam, VIMEXPO 2022 with the goal “Connect to develop” will continue to be a bridge helping Vietnamese supporting industry enterprises step-by-step participate more deeply in the global production networks and the global value chains.

In the past year 2021, supporting industry enterprises faced many difficulties due to the disruption in the global supply chains under the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. This is both a challenge and an opportunity for domestic enterprises to take advantage of their strengths to maintain supporting services, supply goods, and meet diverse requirements of customers. Currently, the roles of multinational companies and manufacturing corporations are increasingly significant and exert a great impact on the global economy. Since 2017, China-US trade tensions have created the trend of manufacturing shifts from China to third countries, including Vietnam. This trend has opened up new opportunities for Vietnamese supporting industry enterprises to participate in the global supply chains. Since the middle of 2018, Vietnamese supporting industry enterprises have gradually met international standards and seized more opportunities for cooperation and joint ventures.

In order to adapt to the new normal, Vietnam has promptly introduced many feasible policies to promote the development of manufacturing and supporting industries in Vietnam. In June 2020, the Government issued Resolution 115/NQ-CP on solutions to promote the development of supporting industries, creating favorable conditions for Vietnamese supporting industry enterprises to develop and contribute to the development of the country. To concretize the Government’s Resolution, Vietnam International Supporting Industry and Manufacturing Exhibition – VIMEXPO 2020 and VIMEXPO 2021 were held in the context that the world as well as Vietnam were going through the stressful period of the Covid-19 pandemic. However, the exhibition still received the support and active participation of numerous state management agencies, governmental and non-governmental organizations, specialized associations, trade promotion organizations and leading domestic and international enterprises in supporting industries. “In the context that the Party, National Assembly and Government, together with the business community, are making efforts to promote economic recovery on the basis of safe and flexible adaptation to the Covid-19 pandemic, with the orientation “Connect to develop”, Vietnam International Supporting Industry & Manufacturing Exhibition – VIMEXPO 2021 will become even more important with its role as a bridge between Vietnamese enterprises and foreign enterprises, multinational corporations; creating opportunities for exchanging and sharing experiences among agencies, organizations, associations, sectors and enterprises operating in manufacturing and supporting industries, helping businesses promote products, technologies and increase investment opportunities,” said Mr. Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan – Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade.

Following the success of previous exhibitions, The 3rd Vietnam International Supporting Industry and Manufacturing Exhibition – VIMEXPO 2022 will return from November 16th to 18th, 2022 at Hanoi International Exhibition Center – I.C.E Hanoi. It is expected that the scale of VIMEXPO 2022 will be around 300 booths of more than 200 domestic and international enterprises. At the exhibition, companies will introduce products in 4 main sectors: Mechanical Fabrication Sector, Automobile Manufacturing and Assembling, Hi-tech industry, Electronics and related industries. The exhibition is the opportunity for Vietnam’s supporting industry to integrate and develop, a bridge for domestic and international supporting industry enterprises to meet, exchange experience, introduce products, expand cooperative relationships, access high-tech facilities, world-leading advanced supporting industry achievements to improve production capacity, etc. Accordingly, the exhibition creates opportunities for supporting industry enterprises to become suppliers and participate in the supply chains of companies manufacturing and assembling final products.

VIMEXPO 2022 with the goal “Connect to develop” continues to affirm its role as the leading prestigious exhibition of the Manufacturing and Supporting industries in Vietnam. During 3 days, the exhibition is expected to attract about 12,000 visitors to come and work directly.
